Larry's birthday party was postponed until today. He got a very wonderful birthday present yesterday...

IT SNOWED!!!
We took advantage of the winter weather and broke out the "old faithful" sled for some serious fun.
Our littlest abominable snowman got in on the downhill action too.

Papa and Chester watched from the kitchen window.

Matt would make a great rocket launcher in his spare time.

Dad even got in on the fun pulling us with the four wheeler.

Matt took the first turn on the ski biscuit...

...Grant was next.

After a little convincing, Anna and I even gave it a try.

Anna, unlike myself, stayed in the tube for the entire ride.

Justin, Stephenie, and Easton were also brave enough to go for a ride.

Unfortunately, the ski biscuit bit the dust today. I bet mom will still try to fix it somehow.
Mom's driveway turned out to be slick enough to sled on.
Going for a new amateur saucer sled landspeed record, Clark W. Griswald and Jr.!

The day wasn't without some nasty spills...

...One almost sent Matt to the emergency room! Just ask him how it feels to get in a fight with a tree.

But mostly, there were smiles and laughter.

Everyone had a great time.

There's something about sledding that makes you feel like you're a kid again.
What a great day spent with family!
